Grayson Miami: Your Perfect Stay Near Miami’s Hottest Attractions

Are you planning a trip to Miami? Looking for a centrally located hotel near the nightlife and cruise port? We found the Grayson Miami just for you!

The Grayson Miami is situated north of Miami’s Financial District, near the MacArthur Causeway. In this review, we’ll share our thoughts on the hotel, our room experience, and just how close you are to everything Miami has to offer! Stick around to the end—there’s one surprise amenity that took our Miami trip to the next level!

The Hotel

What We Loved

  • Ice water dispenser in the lobby – A refreshing touch after exploring Miami.

  • Friendly staff – Always welcoming and ready to assist.

  • The amazing lobby scent – We wanted to bottle it up!

  • The third-floor restaurant – Served delicious breakfast and dinner.

    • Kate had the Caesar salad, and I had a hamburger.

    • For breakfast, we enjoyed miniature pastries and fresh juice.

The Room

What We Loved About Our Stay

  • Spacious room – Plenty of space to unwind.

  • Large balcony – Overlooked the Frost Science Center and cruise ship dock.

    • We could even spot Virgin Cruise Line ships from our balcony!

  • Sound-blocking balcony door – Even with loud cars showing off on Biscayne Boulevard, the noise was significantly reduced.

  • Generous bathroom counter space – Perfect for spreading out toiletries.

  • Enormous shower – With two showerheads, ideal for a relaxing experience.

What Could Have Been Better

  • The television settings – Some features were in English, some in Spanish, and a few screens were blank (including the hotel guide). We couldn’t fix it, but hey, we didn’t visit Miami to watch TV!

  • The in-room safe – Unfortunately, it didn’t lock.

What You Should Be Aware Of

  • Awkward bathroom layout – Privacy may be an issue:

    • Only a curtain separates the bathroom area.

    • Clear glass shower visible from the bathroom.

    • Toilet door is a thin frosted panel that doesn’t latch.

    • Sound carries—you’ll hear everything.

What We Didn’t Take Advantage Of

  • Two-hour bicycle rentals – There are nearby parks, but the sidewalks are busy with foot traffic, and Biscayne Boulevard is a high-traffic area.

  • Discounted entrance to Frost Science Center – Great perk, but we had other plans.

  • Yoga and fitness classes – The hotel offers them, but we skipped.

  • Weight room – Available, but we didn’t check it out.

  • Rooftop pool, sauna, and Bella’s Bar – If you have kids, this is a great option, but we opted for Miami Beach instead.

The Location

Walking Distance To:

  • Frost Science Center & Maurice Ferré Park – A small beach, amphitheater, and dog-friendly spaces.

  • Kaseya Center – Home of the Miami Heat, just a few blocks away.

  • Bayside Marketplace – Shopping, bars, and restaurants a short stroll away. (Check out our Youtube video of Bayside Marketplace!)

Short Uber Ride To:

  • Little Havana – Experience authentic Cuban culture.

  • Wynwood – Famous for its vibrant street art and nightlife.

  • South Beach – Iconic Miami destination. (Check out our YouTube Video of South Beach!)

  • The Miami Cruise Port – Perfect for pre-cruise stays.

SURPRISE PERK!

The hotel staff asked if we planned to visit the beach, and when we said yes, they handed us complimentary tickets for two beach chairs at their sister property, The Savoy. The Savoy Beach Club provided an incredible beachfront experience, making our trip even better!
